Euphorbia duseimata leaves

    Euphorbia duseimata leaves

The leaves of Euphorbia duseimata are only seen on new growth at stem-tips. The about sessile leaves ascend, oblong to narrowly oblanceolate and concave above, or folded in along their midribs. The dull green to blue-grey blades are slightly thickish, fleshy. Leaf dimensions are 5 mm to 30 mm long and 2 mm wide.

The spineless, green stems are cylindrical, partly underground where their thickest sections are likely to be found. The stems in picture are greener than the leaves, covered in small, spiralling tubercles of 1 mm in height. There is a tubercle for every old leaf that had dropped off and one serving as a base for every existing leaf (JSTOR; http://llifle.com).
