Senecio sarcoides leaves

    Senecio sarcoides leaves

The succulent, erect, curving leaves of Senecio sarcoides are grown in clusters at branch tips.

They are long and cylindrical tapering to conical tips. The green or blue-grey leaves are longitudinally lined and hairless. Where the waxy bloom sometimes seen on the surface is disturbed, the glaucous leaf colour is changed to a shade of green. The leaf becomes about 6 cm long and 5 mm in diameter (Manning, 2009; Le Roux, et al, 2005; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; iNaturalist).
