Manulea praeterita is a small herb growing annually from seed. Its white flowers with dark-yellow eyes appear late in winter or spring. The inflorescence is a congested, flattish or corymb-like head at stem-tips and upper axils.
The plant is found in the Knersvlakte, the southern end of Namaqualand and a little further to the south. These flowers were seen in August near the Maskam Mountain (iNaturalist).
