The early Thesium strictum inflorescence is about green all over. The pale green peduncles of the branched flower clusters are smooth with bracts below the pedicels of individual, globose buds. Bud seams where the lobes will soon separate are visible, while yellow colouring is starting to show at some bud tips.
The fleshy, oblong leaves with pointed tips are similar to the bracts, closely adhering to the stems as the bract do to the buds. Some leaf-tips are dark, while others are damaged or missing (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Privett and Lutzeyer, 2010; iNaturalist).
