Plumbago tristis leaves

    Plumbago tristis leaves

The simple, alternate leaves of Plumbago tristis are short-stalked, ascending on the stems.

The obovate blades are round-tipped or notched, often folding in from the lateral margins near the tips. The margins are entire, the thickish blades hairy and grey green to yellowish, in picture faintly pink at some upper margins.

Leaf dimensions are up to 15 mm long and 10 mm wide (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
