Water in the Karoo

    Water in the Karoo

The Gamkapoort Dam in the Karoo where the Gamka and Dwyka rivers meet is a pretty place, also when the water levels are low. This wilderness is tranquil enough to lessen the noises in city charged heads.

Fish eagle and kudu sightings contribute to the quality of human life. And so does a surprising diversity of plant life present.

Sitting here, one would not believe that Die Hel (The Hell) or Gamkaskloof is just over the hill. That is another good place to see, but fit it in this side of the grave.
