The flowers or false flowers of Euphorbia colliculina display many yellow and red features meriting the attention of Little Karoo pollinators. A few of the sessile, bisexual pseudanthia (false flowers) populate the stem-tip in picture.
The stalked male components are arranged in a ring around the female part of every flower. The stamens are tipped with small, paired yellow anthers. The female, central part of the flower ends in three, spreading, flattish, dull green, stigma lobes.
Dull orange glands are disc-shaped around the floral base (Frandsen, 2017; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
