Out of season, this dried Crassula subaphylla var. subaphylla inflorescence indicates the dense structure of the flower cluster borne by this plant. The flowers grow on long erect stalks in branched cymes, the individual flowers about stalkless.
The calyx lobes are half the length of the petals, oblong to ovate and keeled with blunt tips. The fiddle-shaped petals are partly attached to each other, their tips abrupt and acutely pointed (iSpot; JSTOR).
